Company Overview

Spohn & Associates, Inc. was founded as a professional services firm in 1998 by President and CEO, Darren L. Spohn. The goal of the company from conception through present day is to provide businesses a trusted advisor for navigating business challenges in the areas of telecommunications, network security and technology training.

These advisors and their expertise are represented through three lines of business: alliance services; consulting services; and training services. The three independent yet complementary lines of business enable Spohn to provide a unique value proposition to its customers: Expertise on current and emerging technology that is proven to lower operational cost and improve business performance through successful consulting, implementation, and training.

Spohn offers services within its lines of business that are designed to solve cross-industry and customer-specific business problems in the areas of network convergence, regulatory security compliance, business continuity, network and information security, and employee productivity.

The mission of the Alliance organization is to increase the return on investment of AT&T telecom carrier solutions for businesses. It accomplishes this with a suite of services that: improve performance and eliminate waste by identifying how customers can optimize their current and future network architecture, equipment and services; lowers costs by managing carrier negotiations from RFP to contract; reduces errors by project managing carrier migrations; and lower cost overruns through periodic billing analysis and other lifecycle support activities. These services are provided directly to customers or as value-added services combined with carrier solutions.

The mission of the Consulting organization is to improve network and security performance and lower risk for businesses. It accomplishes this with a suite of services that: improve network performance by identifying bottlenecks and misconfigurations in LAN and WAN network infrastructures; TOO LONG reducing unnecessary purchasing and probability of error in future technology migrations by identifying actual capabilities of present infrastructure; lower risk of loss by identify vulnerabilities and threats to corporate assets; improve business resiliency by developing business continuity plans and procedures; and provide strategic planning and insight for your IT organization. Our keystone security assessment service suite is called NetAUDIT TM used by many small, medium and large businesses across the U.S. as part of their security management and regulatory compliance efforts.

The mission of the Training organization is improve the return on investment of your sales and technology training programs. We accomplish this with a suite of services that improves learning and retention through custom-developed instructor-led and web-based courses that are educational, interactive and entertaining. Course curriculum subject matter expertise spans all current and emerging voice and data communications technologies. Technology courses are developed for executive management, consultant, direct sales, channel sales, and sales engineering job functions. Training has also developed sales training courses based on its proprietary sales methodology that is proven to increase sales results.

Services include a blend of proven people, process and tools to perform the respective requirements for analysis, design, implementation and life-cycle management. The goal of these services is to infuse the needed knowledge, experience and resources into a customer’s business in a “just-in-time” manner so that objectives can be met and problems solved with the least impact to the organization.

Spohn customers span Fortune 1000 plus medium and small businesses across thirty unique industries. Through customer references and through sales efforts across both direct and indirect sales channels it has gained the trust and ongoing relationships with businesses in education, financial, government, health care, retail and telecom carrier industries, to name a few.

Spohn is a privately held business with it’s corporate offices located in Austin Texas and regional sales and technical support offices located throughout the United States.
